Brush pickup is available every Monday, weather permitting, from April through September. Residents may place normal tree and bush trimmings at the curb for collection.
As an additional service, we also collect Christmas trees during the holiday season.

Leaf Pick-Up
Leaf collection takes place weekly in Octoberand November. Leaves need to be placed along the edge of the street. Residents living along SR 19 and US 6 are asked to bag their leaves for easier collection and to prevent road hazards. We do not pick leaves up in alleyways or private roadways. Leaves outside of these months will need to be bagged.
Street Repair
Nappanee has about 64 lane miles of streets requiring maintenance and resurfacing from time to time. Our drivers are out working in our community daily and note issues for consideration and repair.
If you encounter a pothole or other problem, please feel free to call us at 574-773-2112 or send an email at bwarren@nappanee.org.
Snow Removal
The City of Nappanee will commence snowplow operations as snow accumulates. We will do our best to keep our roads as clear and safe as possible. We ask for your cooperation as we work through this snowfall together. If you have a car parked on the street, we will ask that you please move it off the street, if possible. If off-street parking is not available, we ask that you move your car periodically as we will be making multiple passes through the city. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation.
Trash & Recycling
The City of Nappanee has a contract with Borden Waste-Away Service for trash and recycling collection. Click here for information regarding the trash and recycling program. The street department does not provide trash removal service.
If your pickup was missed or you have a question, please contact the Clerk-Treasurer’s office at 574-773-2112.
Wood, Chips, & Mulch
For City residents, we provide wood products we have processed after brush cleanup. Mulch and chips are available on a first-come, first-served basis at our street department building on Wabash Street—due to demand, we cannot deliver these products.
