Tree Board
The Tree Board meets the 1st Monday of each month at 5:00 p.m. at City Hall in the Council Chambers.
Nappanee has proudly held the designation of a Tree City by the Arbor Day Foundation since 1994, recognized for its commitment to tree maintenance, conservation, and community engagement. The Tree Board is responsible for overseeing the planting and care of trees within the city right-of-way and plays a key role in educating residents about the importance of trees in our ecosystem.
Each year, the Tree Board celebrates Arbor Day with activities such as essay contests at local elementary schools and community scavenger hunts. They also commemorate Earth Day by planting a tree annually to promote environmental awareness.
