The Redevelopment Commission meets on the 4th Tuesday of each month at 7:00 a.m. at City Hall.
Their responsibilities include approving projects that will help improve aging buildings and vacant land.
The Redevelopment Commission was established to ensure redevelopment areas in need of reinvestment and underused areas are funded through special benefit taxes that will benefit all taxable property within the boundaries of the City.
Mission
The redevelopment commission's mission is to address the conditions associated with areas in need of redevelopment and the underutilization of land and/or barriers to development. This mission requires a set of goals, objectives, which are formulated through study of jurisdiction, identification of problem areas, strategic planning, and interaction with policy makers and developers.
