The Electrical Licensing Board meets on the 1st Thursday of January, April, July, and October at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall in the Council Chambers. Meetings are held as needed. Please contact City Hall at 574-773-2112 to confirm if a meeting will take place.
The board is responsible for licensing, registering, and regulating electricians, apprentices, and electrical contractors. Its mission is to protect public health and safety by enforcing state electrical codes, conducting inspections, and reviewing special requests for code exceptions.
