A subset of Planning Commissioners are appointed to serve on the Board of Zoning Appeals by the Mayor of Nappanee, subject to confirmation by the Nappanee City Council.
The purpose of the Board of Zoning Appeals is to receive, hear, and decide appeals to official decisions about zoning and development requirements, and to consider applications for variances. They meet on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall in the Council Chambers.
If you wish to attend a Board of Zoning Appeals meeting, please contact a representative at City Hall to confirm that a meeting will be held. There are instances where there are no appeals and meetings do not take place.
