General Notice
The City of Nappanee (Owner), acting by and through its Board of Public Works and Safety is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project:
WILLIAMSBURG POND EXPANSION AND OUTLET
The City of Nappanee Board of Public Works and Safety will receive sealed bids until 3:00 PM local time on Monday, September 28, 2026, at the Nappanee Municipal Building, 300 West Lincoln Street, Nappanee, Indiana, 46550, at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud during the Board of Public Works and Safety meeting.
A pre-bid site showing will be held on Tuesday, September 15 th from 1:00 – 2:00 pm starting in the parking lot area of 752 Tomahawk Trail, Nappanee, Indiana. Prospective bidders are NOT required to attend the pre-did meeting. All bidders will need to acknowledge the addendum notes resulting from the pre-bid site showing.
The Project includes the following Work:
Expansion of the east side of the existing Williamsburg Pond, along with installation of a new 24-inch stormwater outlet pipe system. The outlet system will be located on the north side of the pond and will extend east and north to connect to an existing 24-inch diameter stormwater pipe along the drive south of Sammlung Platz. The work also includes sediment and erosion control measures and seeding for site stabilization.

Bids shall be submitted on the proper forms and shall be delivered in sealed envelopes bearing the name of the project, name and address of the bidder, and date of the bid opening on the outside of the envelope. A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid will be required.
The City of Nappanee, Indiana, acting by and through its Board of Public Works and Safety, intends to award the project to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any irregularities in the bidding process, and to accept a full or partial award of the bid or bids which, in its judgement, will be in the best interest of the City.
