Notice of Public Hearing: Plan Commission

The City of Nappanee Plan Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Nappanee City Municipal Center, 300 W. Lincoln Street, Nappanee, Indiana.

The purpose of the Public Hearing is to hear Petition #02-26-PLN filed by Christopher McCrea, Registered Land Surveyor with John Kimpel & Associates onbehalf of the Owner, Harley Schwartz, Northside Land Trust & Northside Manor Apartments. The request is to replat Parcel 20-13-25-477-013.000-021 with a cut-out parcel labeled Lot A with an approximate size of 155 in width by 313 feet in depth. The property is located at 1200 N. Main Street, Nappanee, Indiana.

A copy of such proposal is on file in the office of the City Planner, Nappanee Block Building, 215 W. Market St., Nappanee, Indiana 46550 or contact dslaven@nappanee.in.gov. Written objections that are filed with the office of the City Planner before the hearing will be considered.

All concerned citizens will be offered the right to speak and voice their comment at the Public Hearing. The Public Hearing may be continued from time to time as may be found necessary.

Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity of the City should contact the Office of the City Clerk-Treasurer, 300 West Lincoln Street, Nappanee, Indiana 46550, (574)773-2112, jknight@nappanee.in.gov, as soon as possible, but no later than 48 hours before the scheduled event.
