The Nappanee Historic Preservation Commission will hold its regular monthly meeting on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at 9:00 AM, at the Westside Park Pavilion, 700 N. Nappanee St.

AGENDA ITEM: Dietrich Building - Potential Local Single-Site Historic District Designation

The Commission will review the application for the Dietrich Building to be designated a Local Single-Site Historic District. The Commission will continue previous discussion and vote on whether to recommend to Nappanee City Council that the Dietrich Building be designated as a Local Single-Site Historic District.

The Nappanee Historic Preservation Commission is actively pursuing updated Local Surveys and re-considering previously recommended and suggested districts, in collaboration with Indiana Landmarks.

All interested members of the public are welcome to attend and provide comment on this consideration at our August meeting.  Commission meetings are open to the public in accordance with Indiana law IC 5-14-1.5, and meeting minutes are kept on file and available to the public at the City Planning Department, 215 West Market St., Nappanee, IN 46550, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Meetings are publicized on the City of Nappanee online calendar of events, appropriate signage, other online and social media announcements, as well as correspondence with local news organizations where applicable.
