The Parks and Recreation Board meets the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 4:30 p.m. at the Nappanee Center, 302 W. Market St.

Their responsibilities include performing all acts necessary to acquire and develop sites and facilities and to conduct programs as are generally understood to be parks and recreation functions, including, but not limited to, powers and duties listed in I.C. 36-10-1 et. Seq. The Board shall also prepare and submit an annual budget in the same manner as other departments of the city.

Park Board Meeting

The Parks and Recreation Board meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 4:30 p.m. at the Nappanee Center (302 W. Market St.).

The board oversees the planning, development, and maintenance of parks and recreation facilities, as well as the programs that serve the community. Its responsibilities include acquiring land, developing recreational sites, conducting programs, and carrying out all duties outlined in Indiana Code 36-10-1.

The board is also responsible for preparing and submitting an annual budget in coordination with other city departments.
